Additional sub or upgrade

Hi
This is my first posting on this forum !

I bought my kit in Jan05 and am new to this so excuse my ignorance !

I currently have a MA 360 sub , ported version (mk2) - its good but i want more - i want bass i can feel. Use will be 90% movies & 10% music

I originally had the MK1 version but spoke to Monitor Audio in Feb and they changed me to a MK2 in Mar05 - its better than the mk1 - only difference is its ported

Now my dilemma - to get more bass should i

1) sell the MA360 (How much would i get for it ???) - assuming i get say
£200 i could add in max £300 - what sub could i get for £500

2) Or purchase another sub and go with two subs - again max £300

What would be the best option - help

By the way my room size is approx 23ft by 18ft or 7m by 5.5m ( i think !)

I would sell and buy a better sub with the money rather than buy something just the same ,i don't think it will give you the bass you want.

I agree with Bob1. I would also choose to upgrade rather than get another sub of similar calibre, as having the 2nd sub won't really change the character of bass you're getting.

I agree with Bob. if you've got the physical room for it, think seriously about the sub in Bob's signature which will cost you £400 all in.

You will get the bass your after with the svs PB10-ISD that i have , you will get bass you can feel no problem depending the the materail listened too of course ,weather you want to put up with the size is another matter as its not small ,saying that it does seem to disapear almost down the side of the tv.
If you want to know more about svs subs try looking in the svs forum and have a look on the svs web site .

Thanks for the advice

I do like the sound of the SVS subs and have been reading the reviews - they sound impressive - they are also in my price range.

The ONLY problem is that i have to get in the same colour as my existing speakers ie Beech or something very close - The better half insists !

I see the PB10 doesn't come in beech

Any other suggestions ?
