Probably the BK XLS200, have a search on the forum and see what others think about it.

There seems to be a pattern emerging with Kef subs.

As detailed in previous posts my 2010 went belly up and Im now a proud owner of a BK XLS200. Still running it in but it sounds far more impressive than the Kef ever did and that was no slouch.

Try clicking the banner ad at the top of this forum as BK Electronics sell them at a good price.

I thought you could only get a BK XLS200 from BK electronics unless you go second hand. I just bought one last week (light oak DF) and the finish is great and the bass seems really tight and spacious. I'm hoping it will sound better when 'run in', but I've not heard people say that it does improve over time, but I'd be interested to hear from any owners on this?

That's true as they are sold direct to customer by the manufacturer. They are a good price though

The XLS200 is a stunning performer for an excellent price. With my limited experience of my BK's, they do indeed get better after a couple of weeks of use - it's quite a substantial drive unit!

how long does it take for delivery of the XLS200-DF, Im thinking of buying it now and when the Kef psw 2010 is repaired selling it, how much do you think I will get for it. Also how much better is the sound from the BK compared to the kef.
I dont think i can wait 2 weeks while the kef is repaired watching movies isnt the same without the .1

Mine took approx 3 days, but I've seen others take a week or more. I think it probably depends if they have your particular requirement in stock.

I haven't heard a KEF hence cannot compare. I'm mightily impressed with mine, and it's "only" the 200W version...PJ

Mine took about 8 days, but I was told this was because they'd had a probm with deliveries of oak. Apart from that I was told it would havee been 3-2 days.

Well pleased with it.

The Quake and XLS200 are compared in this thread including some input by one of the staff at BK:
BK XLS 200 - is this ia rel quake?

By the sounds of it you wouldn't need to use the high-level lead and could just connect to your amp using the low-level preout from your amp into one of the low level RCA inputs on the sub.
