Sub for Evo 3b setup

I currently have a Pioneer AX5i amp and the Accoustic Energy 3b speaker package, great speakers but the sub lacks punch. I am looking for a new sub to fit my setup.I have read some good reviews of both the ms309 and the Rel Quake 150 mkII, does anyone have any suggestions.

Max budget is about 600, room is about 16 foot by 14 foot. Size is not too much of a prob although I do not want it to be much bigger than current sub (380*360*310mm).

Thanks for any help you can give.

You could try the B&W ASW675, or the KEF PSW3000.

I'm not sure if SVS do a 'small' sub, but if they do, the quality of their products cannot be overlooked.

I currently have the KEF PSW2500, and am very pleased with it. You could also look at the Mordaunt Short MS909W, this is the sub I wanted to go for originally, but couldnt find it anywhere, my impatience got the better of me so I went for the Kef for a bit of a bargain

Hi Paul
My room is the same size as yours and i used to own the B&W asw675 which sounded great and it is small and wife friendly.I now have the svs 20-39pc+ which still only takes up the same floor space as the asw675 but it is 39' tall this sub is quite a step up in performance from the B&W and sounds superb with both movies and music if you can accommodate the svs buy one you will not be dissapointed.
PS performance wise the svs is the best piece of equipment ive purchased yet.
Cheers Gonzo.
