temp cable for sub

hi guys , i was wondering if i can use an alternative phono cable, eg a video phono cable just as a temp so i can get the placement of the sub roughly right.I am a newbie to this so if its a stupid question forgive my ignorance.I will be buying a good quality sub cable a qed or ixos etc but i dont wanna order a cable thats too long or short so i just wanna get placement sorted.

No problems using that as a temporary cable.

Have a look in the powerbuy forum for top quality subwoofer cables at comparatively cheap prices.
