Connecting 2 speakers and a sub to pc?

How can i connect to powered monitors and powered subwoofer to my pc. I dont want to use 2.5mm jacks as i was told the sound quality is bad.

Well it would be very bad as you need 3.5mm jacks, but yes powered speakers and a powered sub via 3.5mm cables can attach to a PC.

Do you need a 5.1 Amplifier for a subwoofer

Can you connect powered speakers to an amp?, Im going to by some speakers soon i have pre amped speakers and and a powered sub. I wanted to connect them to my pc basically i dont want to burn a cd everytime i want to play music. What the best way to do this? thanks again ppl at avforums you are all great and helpfull people

You can buy an external soundcard with high quality RCA outputs.

I think the quality has less to do with the connector itself and more with the quality of the built-in soundcards...

I think you should stick to one thread... It may take some time, but there is always an answer. If not, then probably nobody can answer it, and posting again will not change that
