sub to buy

Hi, folks, ur kind expertise please. I am looking for a subwoofer to go with my Sony STR-DH810 amp and a pair of Tannoy F1 mercury speakers. Have a Panasonic Viera TX-32LMD70 so use it for both music and movies.

budget is about £200-250, thanks

Obvious choices would be bk electronics gemini ii or xls200.

cheers, well after a few searches and calls I've narrowed down to 3: wharfedale 150 sw, tannoy ts10 or mj acoustics 50 mk2, pls again vote on these thanks

I have the Wharfedale 10-MX, its the same price as the 150SW at Superfi but has a higher RRP. I must admit when I got it I was gobsmacked at the fit and finish of the unit, and now its up and running it blends in seamlessly with my speakers.

If you shut your eyes and just listen you would never know where in the room it is, and that to me is a good sign. It has plenty of low end grunt as well. For the price of the 10MX I think its a steal. See this THREAD for my little write up.
