High Level and Monobloc Power Amps - shared common\negative.

Trying to use high level input on BK Monolith. I have two monobloc amps. The Monolith uses a shared common. Is this going to work as I have seperate amps. I don't want things to go bang as it were.

I cant see any reason as to why it wouldnt work. The high level connections only read whats happening with the signal the power amps send out, the amps dont actually power the sub in an way. The signal levels are incredibly low so you wont have any problems

Re: High Level and Monobloc Power Amps - shared common\negative.

Unless those monoblocks are an internally bridged configuration, in which case a bit of care may be advised. What monoblocks are you using?

Also, given your current kit list, I can see no reason why you should actually want to use the high level connections. Unless you have a separate stereo setup, I'd run the speakers as small and do everything you possibly can to avoid the 820 getting involved in power sapping bass.

Thats not a bad point Russell, how do the mono blocs figure into the equation with your AV amp etc.

Re: High Level and Monobloc Power Amps - shared common\negative.

Sorry, this is a seperate setup to my sig.

On the Monolith I use the low level for my AV.

My stereo setup is a PC feeding a Beresford DAC that then feeds two mono amps... they're not bridged. They are on the same chassis just not joined electronically at all. See below.
