Unhappy Help! REL Stampede suddenly stopped working - looking for ideas

After 4+ years faithful service my REL Stampede has today decided not to switch on. I have tried a different kettle lead and wall socket to no avail.

There are no external signs of damage, and I don't recall anything of note happening whilst using it recently.

Does anyone have any ideas? Should I take the back off and see if something has come loose?

thanks

Nick

other than if you see a inline fuse built in the back of the amp body then check that, and your confident its getting power then it could well be a failure on the inbuilt Power Supply circuit?

If yes to all of the above its pointing towards internal, so by all means have a look (make sure unplugged for a while) and take the back off and see if you can see any burn marks / black resisters? If so you may be able to get it repaired locally /yourself of maybe a new amp?

Thanks softsofter, I had a look at the inbuilt supply and did find a fuse, well it has two actually - so i'll get hold of a couple of replacements and see if that helps.

Check the fuses with a meter to see if they are blown save buying 2 to try, mind you if they are blown it will be for a reason and replacements may well just do the same, which indicates all is not well on the board.
