Since 2005 Kent Home Cinema have enjoyed an excellent business relationship with SVS in the USA, now SV Sounds. Since then we have been importing and distributing direct to the customer, initially their highly acclaimed subwoofers - PB10ISD, PB12 Plus & Plus 2, followed by the SB & MT speakers, the unique PC cylinder sub woofer range, the mighty PB13 Ultra Ultras and most recently the extraordinary “room fixing” AS-EQ1 subwoofer equalizer.

Well all good things eventually come to an end as they say! Kent Home Cinema has decided that in order to fully concentrate on our ever increasing custom installation side of the business it is time to hand over SVS sales and servicing to an equally competent company - L-Sound in Norway. L-Sound have been distributing SVS in Europe and Scandinavia as long as we have been covering the UK. L-Sound handle all VAT and taxes throughout their export system – so no problems with customs. Responsibility for warranty cover and spares for existing customers will also transfer to L-Sound.

Obviously, we would like to thank all of our loyal SVS customers, especially the AV Forum members who have supported the products over the years and contributed to many interesting threads on the subject of achieving deep bass and as they say getting “bang for your buck!”

Hi all

A quick update on this model. We have received a message from Ron in the states that an SB12 in textured black will be leaving for these shores this week

Once we have received it and Hayes has had a chance to put it through its paces we will start putting forward some dates for the forum day which is likely to be late August/ early September.

All fingers crossed for a safe journey as we cannot wait to get our hands on this little beauty.

The introductory offer will be for the first consignment of SB12s. Not wanting to put pressure on anyone but we already have orders in the system so it may be worth getting your name down for one. We are adopting the same 45 day money back guarentee that they use in the states on this product. Based on Hayes' initial tests I don't think we will be taking many (if any) back.

Hayes will be testing the unit further today and will post his findings on this thread over the next few days.

We are getting our final production model this week which we will use for demo. The production is starting shortly in the states and the european stock will start arriving around mid October. These dates are approximate and if Ron and his team are able to reduce this timescale I am sure they will do so.

I see from your sig you are in Kent so cannot be too far from us. You are most welcome to come in and have a listen to the SB12 and any of the other models.

Just to let you know our SB12 in Oak has just arrived from the states Once Hayes has checked it we will be setting a date for the SVS Forum day so keep an eye on this thread.

The original SB12 we had was a pre-production model and we are looking forward to listening to the improvements made in the final production model. The first one was very impressive so watch this space.

Hi all

Well the SB12 has been unpacked and the quality of the casing in the Oak really is excellent particularly the veneered edges. The magnetic attachment of the grill is another neat idea and is available on the wood finishes as well as the gloss black

Initial thoughts from Hayes (based on the fact it is not run in yet) is he very pleased with it and he felt there were a number of improvements to the pre-production model we have had for a while now. I will leave him to post his thoughts next week.

We can now start talking about a date for the Forum SVS day and the initial one will be on Saturday 16th September. It will be useful to know who may be coming along so we can see what numbers we are expecting - don't want to run out of sarnies and drink Please could any members let me know on the thread so I can start compiling a list.

For those who cannot make it we will arrange another date at the beginning of October.
