Squeezebox or Ipod Touch?

Guys

what should I get, the Ipod Touch or the Squeezebox?

am I right in thinking that the squeezebox streams all your mp3's from your computer to your hifi?

Re: Squeezebox or Ipod Touch?

Strange question. Two very different bits of kit; both doing very different jobs.

Yes the SB3 streams music from a NAS or PC (Or a Roku Soundbridge does the same)

Re: Squeezebox or Ipod Touch?

i know they are two different pieces of kit but I cant decide which to get.

is a squeezebox only worth having if you have a lot of mp3s stored on your computer?

Basically yes. You can use it to get internet radio as well but essentially it's more like swapping your CD player over to a more useful searchable song database of all your CDs.

Get both

Re: Squeezebox or Ipod Touch?

if you're looking at a squeezebox,
you should also be considering an appletv

Re: Squeezebox or Ipod Touch?

The squeezebox is a great bit of kit!

The iPod touch will be great when the NEXT generation is released and its price dropped.

IMHO the iPhone will be much better value when its finally released.

amcluesent - don't be so hard on the apple fanboys - we just can't help it!
this is because all our gear "just works!"

Rip all your tunes as lossless and get yourself an appletv, Dan.sctott1234
has one for sale in the classifieds for only £150 and of course you'll have all your album artwork and it can also stream and sync video and your photos,
provided your TV can accept a component or HDMI input.

appletv looks very tempting. my tv will support it as I have a Samsung LE86R32.

Is there any subscribtion or payment with appletv?

Re: Squeezebox or Ipod Touch?

If so you'll be fine!
