Question Hifidelio & Sonos Compatability

I am planning to go digital with my CD collection and was wondering if I could use the Hifidelio Pro as my CD player and rip device and use this as the server for a Sonos system.

A quick look on the web suggests that they are not compatable?

Can anyone shed any light?

If you're going to use Sonos, just use your PC and a NAS drive.

Re: Hifidelio & Sonos Compatability

You can expose the files in the music directory on the Hifidelio (via Samba) so you could treat it as a NAS drive with respect to the Sonos.

I am new to the distrubuted digital audio world so can you give me a bit more info on Samba and how I can configure the Hifidelio to act as a server to a Sonos system.

Many thanks

Keith
