Wi-fi via Squeezbox v DAB

Bit of a newbie on this stuff - am looking at getting a portable DAB radio for round the house and also possibly a squeezebox to give me wi-fi radio and music streaming via Hi-Fi.

Just wondering whether I need both - can you get most of the key DAB stations via wi-fi radio and how would the quality compare if both played thru the same system?

Still leaves me portability problem eg radio in bathroom etc...

You could always get the Pinnacle:

No battery, mind you.

Streaming stations are generally 32/64/128 kbit, so are generally worse than DAB, plus you get dropouts from network congestion. The AlienBBC plugin to the slimserver does let you access all of the BBC's 'listen again' programmes on which is very useful.

I would get a DAB radio and a squeezebox. Wait! I have...
