Cant Connect message doin my head in!

As the title says. We have a sb in the living room conneceted to the avr. Since i updated to the latest firmware some weeks ago damn thing keeps showing the can't connect to server message every few hours. Its driving me mad especially as the display is sat under our plasma in plain view and comes on in the middle of a film sometimes. Am i going to have unplug it every time ive finished listening? Any help appreciated.

Morning,

Is this an error connecting to squeezebox.com or your music on a pc/NAS?

I know that there was an issue with the Readynas with the recent upgrade with 7.4.1(IIRC) not being ready for a while for the NAS even though the controller etc were upgraded.

Other things - have you tried reinstalling the update. Have you rebooted your router and it may help if you assign static IP to your devices (including SB) rather than DHCP.

Not saying the above will definitely help but worth a shot!

If you're not connecting to MySqueezebox (stupid rename!), you can always go back to 7.3.4.

Or you could set the SB display to off when not in use via the GUI.

I too noticed frequent can't connect messages since the hurried pile of poo that is 7.4, mostly when connected to MySqueezebox. I also find both SB3 & Boom failing to respond to IR remotes intermittently.

Still, on the bright side, at least I now have a thoroughly useless Facebook option on both devices.
