Squeezebox - Stock

Hi there,

Does anyone know why most types of Squeezebox seem to be out of stock with pretty much all suppliers (including Logitech themselves) at the moment?

I'd like to get a Classic and Controller/Receiver for Christmas but no one has them in stock.

Is this a short-term thing, does anyone know?

Many thanks.

I'm surprised about Controller/Receiver.
Classic is not a surprise because it's being phased out and replaced by the Touch which is not shipping yet.

Logitech Squeezebox Duet - Network Audio Player: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
Doesn't sound like "out of stock" to me...

Even a Classic:

Re: Squeezebox - Stock

I've ordered a Controller on Dabs. This is reported as being out of stock.

Even trying to buy a Receiver on the Logitech website reports it as being out of stock.

Agree with the Classic - was still hoping there might be a few more floating about.

Cheers.

Re: Squeezebox - Stock

Yeah. I had seen this but they seem to be charging a lot more than other online retailers. On a web search, many come in cheaper but have none in stock. I would personally rather wait if it means getting it at a better price.

Re: Squeezebox - Stock

Whilst not a direct replacement, the Touch is coming out soon and the Classic has been discontinued.

We have Duets, Receivers, Controllers, Booms and Radios (Black & Red) all in stock.

Is that official now? Not been on the official forums much of late, other than the beta forums.

In case anybody after just the squeezebox receiver this company have some stock today

930-000041 Logitech SQUEEZEBOX RECEIVER . (MP3s MP3 Players)

I've found plenty of places with the full Duet product but I just don't need the controller however nice it looks. A browser or my windows mobile will do.

Not too bad a price as they are in quite short supply on their own. Everywhere listing them as sub £80 has no stock.

Wow, scratch that, all 29 gone already... sorry

You can use your Windows Mobile as a controller???

I didn't realise you could. I'd heard about the Apple iPhone/iTouch being able to do the business but not Windows Mobile.

If so, can you tell me how ...

You can either use the built in handheld skin http://your_squeezecenter_ip:9000/handheld

Or there is a PDA version constantly in development. It's not a patch on the ipod touch/iphone solution, but the guy is constantly updating it and it does work. More info here

Or direct link to the developers page here
