Squeezebox Duplicate Albums?

Hi all,

I recently bought a Squeezebox Duet and really since running it I've had the problem with most albums on it coming up twice on the remote. Often one will show with the artwork and the other will not but they are both the full albums.

Anyone know what's up?

Re: Squeezebox Duplicate Albums?

It's usually 1 of 2 things - you have iTunes installed and squeezebox server iTunes integration is on, so both you iTunes library Index is being imported and music collection is being scanned (which could be the music in your iTunes music folder. Or you have playlists for each album which are also being scanned. You will need to do a complete clear and rescan once you have changed the settings.

Re: Squeezebox Duplicate Albums?

seem to have fixed it apart from a couple that are duplicates or have 2 of each song in the album

That could be if you have mixed ID3v1, ID3v2 or APE tags in the file.

Ah yes, I completely forgot about that! Yes that's the 3rd common reason for duplicates.
