Help : Can't run Squeezeserver 7.4.1

I can no longer run Squeezeserver. At the diagnostics it says :
Port 3483 : Failed
Port 9000 : Failed
Port 9090 : Failed
Alerts : Possible software conflict found.
What do I do?

It is run on a PC. I recently purchased a Western Digital NAS and tried to install it there too but it wouldn't work without the PC on so I removed it. I don't know if this created some kind of conflict.

Sounds like either your firewall doesn't accept it or you are running two copies of Squeezebox Server.
Do you have a previous version on that machine?
What OS is it?

I am running XP service pack 3. When I first installed 7.4.1 I believed the previous version was removed. The firewall shouldn't be the problem as even after disabling it the problem is still there.
I think it has to do having 2 copies as I tried to install it on my WD NAS and this is when the problem started (though only occasionally at first).
Although I have removed that copy and I reinstalled it on my PC it seems that some kind of conflict is still there. Could it be a registry problem?

Re: Help : Can't run Squeezeserver 7.4.1

I would rather expect a name conflict, or lack thereof.
Please check whether you have another program called "SqueezeCenter" on your PC and try to uninstall it if it is.

One of them may be running as a service.

I kind of have to blind guess at this since I don't run a Windows machine anymore (and even before wasn't running SC on one for a long time), maybe somebody else could step in on where these things can be found.

Re: Help : Can't run Squeezeserver 7.4.1

It's working now! I re-installed the program yet again but this time I also deleted the Sqeezebox Folder. I won't mess around with it too much in future.
Thanks.
