I own a Squeezebox Duet which I use to hook up to my laptop (wirelessly) for my music.

I have now found that I will be moving to New York.

Does anyone know if my Duet will work in NY. I intend on taking the laptop and plan to connect everything as i have here (with the adaptors so that they fit into the US plug sockets).

Does anyone know if this will work? Wll the wireless work in the US as well. WIll I be able to hook the laptop up to the broadband via LAN wire like I do here?

Also, currently the squeezebox is connected to speakers via an amp. I dont plan on taking the amp with me. What is the most cost effective/simplest way of getting sound out of my set up (not too bothered about sound quality and one speaker will be enough). Can I do this without an amp?
