Squeezebox Boom or Pure Sensia

Hi

I have put in an order for a Squeezebox Boom, but I am considering switching to a Pure Sensia. I am curious to know which people think might be better, particularly in regards to streaming from a ReadyNAS Duo, the radio stations available and use as an alarm clock.

£200/£250 maybe quite a lot for a clock radio - but I've been saving up for several years.

BTW - I do believe I would make use of the apps, but they are not a necessity.

(I did also post in the DAB/FM radio forum - apologies)

Re: Squeezebox Boom or Pure Sensia

The Boom will play your music files as well as internet radio, which you might want to do in future even if not right now.

If you are looking for a bedroom alarm, have you considered the Squeezebox Radio?

Logitech Squeezebox Radio: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

It is smaller than the Boom and has a mono speaker, but sounds excellent as a bedside (or kitchen) radio/alarm. Like the Boom, it will also play your music files (except DRM-protected ones) via Squeezebox Server. Or you can connect an iPod to it...
