SONY NAS C5E vs Squeezebox Boom

Hi folks,

Anyone got any views on the relative merits of Sony Gigajuke NAS-C5E and the Logitech Squeezebox Boom? I want something like this for my kitchen.

On the face of it they both seem to do roughtly the same functions - stream from PC, access internet radio etc, Sony has the benefit it can also be paired with their NAS-S55 server.

Anyone ever sat the two side by side and compared sound quality?

Sony seems to be slightly cheaper by about £20 at the moment.

I keep flip flopping between the two.

Thanks,

Matt

Sony is a more universally respected brand in terms of build quality and reliability (stands back and awaits avalanche of irate logitech fans...)

Re: SONY NAS C5E vs Squeezebox Boom

Can the Sony stream from any NAS or only its own brand (S55-HDE). I have a Thecus N5200 (SMB, UPNP, NFS, Apple) - anyone know whether it will work with this?
