Not good I'm afraid. It means that you Laptop can't see your desktop PC on the network.

Can you type the following into a DOS command prompt on both machines and post results

ipconfig /all

May also be worthwhile posting a quick thread over on the PC networking section Networking - AVForums.com

stating you are trying to connect your laptop to your desktop PC. this is a busy section so you should get plenty of useful replies.

Re: A lot to ask for..... from you guys !

I'll try and bring this back onto topic then.

Now that I have my PS3 playing stuff from my Computer, whats the next step?

I am already running out of space and I havnt yet put back on my computer what i took off and placed into the screenplay device.

It may not be a question for this post, but is it a NAS system i should look at and if so, is there a good source of information on them so i know what to do and how to run them?

I think soon, ill invest in some of those homeplug things so that i can run HD better.

your options are really adding a 2nd internal HDD to your pc (if you have space in case) for about £75 for a 1Tb drive or buying a NAS (Basically a network attached external hard drive that runs streaming software such as Twonkymedia built in.

If you tend to switch your PC off when not using it then a NAS is a low powered option you can leave switched on all the time, however if you leave your PC switched on most of the time you may just as well add more space to that.

finally R.E. homplugs; if you planning on streaming HD material you should look at the 200mb homeplugs rather than 85mb versions.
