Media Cataloging

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but here goes.
I have the a Tvix 6500 (when it returns from swap over) I have also just ordered a Synology cs-407 NAS. Having no experience in either of these, I was wondering when I start backing up all my music and DVD's onto the NAS, what is the best way of organising these, to enable quick and easy access from the 6500 on screen menu.
Can i use something like mymovies to view dvd covers and select films.

Re: Media Cataloging

I've also been wondering about this. Anyone? Can the Tvix6500 have dvd cover art displayed on the screen?
