media storage receiver

Hi

I have hundreds of dvds and I want to put them on some sort of storage device. I have Virgin media tivo and a cheapish LCD TV which will be upgraded later this year. I was thinking of a NAS but I think im better using a media streamer with storage. I need storage of 3 or 4tb. Im not sure whether I need this to be networked or not? I will also be getting a NAS soon for other computer files.

I have read up about xtreamer which hasnt got great reviews, dune sounds good but no storage.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jamie

Dune D1 and H1 have internal HDD bays supporting SATA drives

As Tboggie says the h1 and d1 will take upto a 3tb disk (or 2tb ones too). The Dune HD Duo can take 2x 3tb disks (or 2tb ones too). they may work 4tb disks as well, I cant see why they wouldnt but I dont think anybody has tried them

You can also hang usb drives of the back too for extra storage.

Note however that the Dune box (or any media streamer currently on the market) will NOT rip the dvd. You still need to do that on a PC or mac and copy the files to the Dune.
