Which Media player for HD (25mbps) files

Looking for a media player that will play HD camcorder files across a network.

The files are 25 Mbps (I've got a xbox 360, but it can't cope with them, keep breaking up or not playing at all)

I would also like to play mkv files as well, again across a wired network.

Not to fussed about the user interface , but looking for the above spec at the cheapest price.

All opinions welcomed.
