Good Device for Codec Support-Streaming Not Needed!

I am just looking for a device with good media support. It doesnt need streaming ability, but it will need to play the following very well:
.mkv
.iso
vob and ifo files

I plan to hook it up to an external hard drive so, again, streaming is really not important to me at all.

Any suggestions?

Get an Asus O!Play if you want DVD menus in ISO.

Re: Good Device for Codec Support-Streaming Not Needed!

Is that better than a western digital or popcorn hour c-200 for codecs and iso support? I've been reading around and those two along with the asus are suggested a lot. Codec wise, whats the most robust system? Again streaming isn't my main priority, but that doesn't mean I am against devices with good streaming abilities as long as they have codecs to back it up.

No one has anything to say about this? I am leaning toward the c-200 right now just because I can put a blu-ray drive in it. If it has the codec support to back it up then I am good to go. But if there is something else with better codec support then I would rather go that route.

The C-200 is a much better device than the Asus but it of course is much more expensive. Codec wise the PCH C-200 is probably the most well equipped on the market.

The WDTV Live plays ISO's but main movie only, I assume you want ISO support for DVD menus.
