Hi have just installed my DMA2200 it seems to have installed perfectly but when it comes to connecting to my PC it displays a fault saying my media center PC requires an update ...cant find any info on update ...have disabled firewall but they still not speak to each other...anybody please help...about to toss the PC out the window !!!

If I recall XP/Vista media center required an update installed for the then newer media extenders to work. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of it or the link.

Is your computer up to date via windows update and have you checked the optional updates, did you also check the CD that came with it.

If you go over to The Green Button (official media center forums) someone should be able to tell you were to download the update.
