Philips WADM Software on Windows 7

Ello everyone

I have a Philips WAC 3500 mini system and in order to manage the files on the Hard Drive you have to use the Philips Wireless Audio Device Manager software, I have Ver 1.8.1.

Does anyone on here use this software with Windows 7? I currently use it on Vista and my PC is dieing so looking to upgrade soon - the Windows 7 upgrade advisor has no info on this software and I can't seem to find anywhere to download a newer version of the software.

Thanks for any help

Re: Philips WADM Software on Windows 7

If it worked under Windows Vista then it very likely does under Windows 7 too.

You could try looking on Philips site or emailing them.

Also Philips directory listing have a large exe file in there could be the software

Index of /files/w/wacs7500_12

Though you'd have to find your model.

Latest WADM version is 2.01, intended for newer (2008) models but works fine for the WAC3500 as well (and with Windows 7).

Download at Philips support site (be sure to select a newer model stereo set).

I have a WAS7000 and installed the WADM software and it states not compatible with OS (windows 7). I Have been on live help with philips support and they stated at present there is no software which will make compatible with Windows 7 and is being looked into but not likely to have a solution for quite some time.

Well, I suppose I've just purchased the most expensive I-Pod docking station on the market as not willing to xfer 200+ gb of music via disc and having no way of managing it properly.

Does anyone know of a solution a work around to get this working with windows 7??

Is the WAS7000 an older model ? as the others above seem to have had no trouble with the WADM software under Windows 7.

Theres the old fashioned right click the properties on the exe of the application and set it to run with admin right and enable Win XP compatibility mode.

If you have Windows 7 Ultimate you can use XP mode to emulate Windows XP environment while the app runs in a quasi native mode in Win7 that might be one way to make the software work.

I have the cd that came with the 3500 model which works perfectly fine on windows 7. So just install it and give it a go.... I still haven't found a download link for it yet though...

I finally managed to get this sorted, had to change the compatability for both my W7 and Vista pc's for the program to run under XP sp2.

Seems to work fine, I can see whats on the system and manage the files. Only thing I want to find out now is if there is a way of pulling music from the system onto my laptop or can you only upload tracks??

I spoke to Philips support and they stated that at present they are trying to develop a version of WADM to be compatible with Vista and W7 but currently they have no timeframe for this to be released so changing the compatability seems the only resolution, but it works ok.
