My fatherinlaw and I have one of these each and have had no problems, they are great little tools. However, he has converted some videos to avi and stored them on a hard drive using a video grabber(roxio). the resulting files will play on my pc and his pc however they wont play on the micro....is there a file size limit? a lot of the files are 5,54gb.I have also had trouble playing anything over 5gb.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I've got the fusion model. Re the file size, I think it's more to do with the how the xvid(avi) is encoded. I found this info in another thread :-



DIVX, XVID and AVIs - if they have a problem-recode them like this: -


Video Format: xvid

Video Resolution: 720x576

Video Frame Rate: 25.000000

Video Bit Rate: 1250kbps

Audio Format: mp3

Audio Channel: 2

Audio Bit Rate: 128000

Audio Sample Rate: 48000

I haven't tried it myself as I've not needed to.
