Dune have stated that they will be adding BBC iPlayer, but its not available yet.
Dune HD TV-101 » Dune HD GmbH

so it looks like we need to get the NetFront browser in a firmware update to access iPlayer.

Works for me but the default plan from logitech does not assign a lot of the PCH buttons to their remote (but you can modify this). You just need to go into the 'Devices' section in your remote manager program and on the PCH/IRK200 device select the options to change buttons. Assign what command you want to which button on your remote in there.

Yes i know, but there is not source button in options at all. Maybe there is another name for it? Or should i go for "learn" option?

Odd, as I've got a "Source" button on my Harmony One remote (device added as Media Center PC -> Popcorn Hour -> IRK-200). No need to learn anything.

There is a source option on my setup. Did you select the device 'C-200' or 'IRK-200'? I believe I selected C-200 in the 'Computers' section.

Seems 2 of us have the option but we both have the One (I have the One+). So possibly, if you are sure it isn't there, Logitech has different IR packages for different remotes and it is not in the 500 range. If so I would contact Logitech support and get the profile updated so other users would benefit too.

Silence would be my first answer, as my fat PS3 (first generation, I think) is unusable for watching movies since it's far too noisy. Devices like PCH and Dune are silent as they have no fan (certainly in the case of the PCH C-200, not sure about Dune).

That said, newer PS3s may be quieter, and the PS3 does offer a hell of a lot more functionality for less than products like the PCH, although Sony do not support as many media formats so if you ever plan on streaming movies over a home LAN you may have problems.

Although nowadays I just rip my Blu-Rays to a NAS and stream to a Revo 3700 running XBMC (OpenELEC) - works perfectly, is silent and costs under £200. So well in fact I haven't fired up either my C-200 or PS3 in almost a year...

All the Dune players are fan free except for the Duo, so as said they are silent in use.

The PS3 has very limited media support, but the likes of the PCH's & Dune's wil play just about all of the common media formats.
The media players also have access to a full DVD disc menu, and most of the Dune's and the C-x00 also have access to a BluRay disc menu. The PS3 I believe only uses DLNA so can't play a full ISO or folder structure rip of a disc, only the actual media files within.
Either via a built in app of a 3rd party program with a media player you can create a video wall so you view the DVD/BD covers rather than scrolling through a text list of your media.

Mark.

The A300 and C200 use completely different database structures. I suspect you have scanned with your A300 which has overwritten the C200's database which is why you cannot view the NMJ on the C200 anymore. You cannot share an NMJ database between a 300 and 200 series.

Until the 200 series is updated to NMJv2 you would have to do the following to make the dual NMJ work:

Build the NMJ on your NAS with your C-200.
Have some internal sotorage on the A300 (either HDD or USB thumb drive).
Make the NAS read only to the A-300
Build the NMJ on the A300.

This will force the A300 to build its database on the internal drive and keep it separate from the C-200's database.

Of course if you add a film etc you have to rebuild BOTH NMJs to add the film for each player to see. Your other option if you don't want to do this and can't wait for the 200 series upgrade to NMJv2 is to ditch NMJ and use Yamj with Eversion which both players will happily use the same jukebox.

Hi Rom is this the same for the a210 and the c200 in that i would have to create a new folder or should it work with the c200 njm folder already setup

The A200, A210 & C200 can all share the same database as long as they all use the same network share name you should be fine. They just changed the database for the 300 series (v1.9) so they can't share with the 200 series (v1.8).

Firmware after next they should all be using the v1.9 database that the 300 series uses and then all 200 & 300 models can share.

not sure what's happening here with me but so far my setup is

1. I am using qnap as a central storage site for movies and given each PCH user privileges for everything without passwords
2. a300 has its own folder to read from and works fine
3. c200 has it's own folder to read from and works fine

Now this is where i run into problems, connected a210 can see movies as a list format and play them but when i press the red button to show movie wall i get " Request can not be processed, press R to return"

I'm assuming you mean the A210 is giving the error trying to read the DB created by the C200 in it's share?

Is the share name for that directory the same on both the C200 and A210?
Does the A210 have write access?
Have you turned off NMJ Auto updates on the A210?

Yeah A210 has read write access just like the C200 and NMJ is set to Auto on the A210.

I would turn off auto update on the A210 as if the C200 is accessing the DB and it is locked the A210 will not have access to it. If A210 is no update then it should just read the database. Allow only the C-200 to update the DB.

Tried setting the a210 to manual update but can't seem to find out how to turn off auto update is this the same thing? It has the most current firware installed also

Hi.

What is the best way to configure my home network for fastest transfer speeds and stable streaming?

Components:
Qnap TS-412.
Billion BiPAC 7800N Dual WAN ADSL2+.
Netgear ProSafe Gigabit desktop switch.
Popcorn hour A-210

I have tried using one Ethernet link from my router to the Netgear switcher, then connecting the Qnap, PCH and PC to this, in this configuration the transfer speeds of sending files from my PC to the Qnap are fantastic, 50mbps, however, when viewing films I am suffering from picture stutter though the PCH. (I have tried viewing on my PC and I get no stutter)

So I have connected the Qnap, PCH and PC back to the router, the picture when played through the PCH is now stable, but the transfer rates are slow, 10mbps.

Am I doing something wrong?

NMJ is the built in jukebox on all 200 & 300 series media players. NMJToolbox is an application I wrote to allow users to tweak the details and images in the built in Jukebox once it has been created by the PCH.

As to your network issue, are you really meaning mbps or MBps? the first is megaBITs the latter is MegaBYTEs. It makes a difference. 10 MEGABYTES is pretty good and almost the max I have seen any 200 series run at as the 'gigabit' networking is not reliable in the 200 series on all network setups. I suspect you have the PCH set to 'Auto' in the network speed setup - which on a lot of networks causes stuttering. Change the PCH to 10/100 (fast enough for streaming) and you can add your PC & NAS back to the gigabit switch.

You will have fast gigabit transfers between PC & NAS and the PCH will go standard 100mb and shuld be stutter free.

Cheers Rom. I have just connected the Qnap and PC back to the gigabit switch, now transferring data off my external HD through my PC to the Qnap, I am getting 29MB/second.

The PCH was set to 10/100, I have left this connected to the router which so far seems stable.

Hey all

I have a c-200 with a BD player built in.
However the BD player crashes almost all the time when a BD is trying to play.

For example (all BD):
- Got Jurassic Park trilogy and they all crash.
- Billy Elliott crashes.
- Black Swan crashes.

Does anyone else experience this problem or have a suggestion on what i can do to try fix this problem?

What BD drive do you have in the machine? Do any discs work? What are your BD settings on the C200? I have Black Swan so I'll try that on mine and let you know if I have any issues....

Update: Black Swan works fine on mine.

Thanks for reply.

I have a Lite-on iHOS104 BD drive.

My settings are:
Parental Control = Off
Autoplay = Off
Audio = English
Subtitle = English
BD PiP - On
BD Navigation = Full

I did go to Wiki for drives & seen a bullet point that said if it plays DVDs okay & BDs crash between 1 to 5mins after starting then it me be fault with the mainboard so i have logged a call with PCH.

However while i wait for their response i would appreciate knowing how my settings compare to your settings.
