Man Utd signed football question?

A friend at work has a signed (with felt pen-not printed) man utd football from the 2005-2006 1st team squad. Names such as Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Darren Fletcher, Wes Brown, Mikael Silvestre are the ones I can make out. There are more. There is a laminated specimen signature sheet and laminated certificate of authenticity which is hologrammed and has the same serial number as the ball. It is all in a Man Utd draw string bag. He want s to sell it and has asked me to try and find out what its worth.
Please note I am not trying to sell it yet. I am just after some advice on what people think its value is.
I know it is worth more to some people than others.
Can any one give me a ......(sorry) Ball Park Figure of a lowest price they think its worth. Please do not ask me to sell it as this would break forum rules.

Re: Man Utd signed football question?

Its one of those items thats worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Possibly try shops etc that deal in that sort of thing. May be that they will sell it on your behalf for a fee? Failing that what about a charity auction? Could maybe sell it at a fund raising event, 50% to your mate and 50% to charity? Might get more for it that way?
From what I've seen signed photos (framed) seem to go for around the £150 mark if its someone famous such as a film star so although it has lots of signatures on I wouldn't think it would get much more than that, maybe £200 tops?

Re: Man Utd signed football question?

Maybe worth more now they are champions. I might wait until they "win" the champions league also before I sell it.

Re: Man Utd signed football question?

If it's the 2005/2006 squad, I can't see why them winning the 2009 league and/or the CL will have any effect on its value.
