Re: Froch V Taylor Boxing
Still can't get over how bad Taylor was in the last round, he's had a lot of fights against some big names and should have been experienced enough to sit on his lead for that round.
Either way it was a smashing fight and it earnt me a few pennies off the bookies which is always a bonus, Froch isn't/wasn't a big enough name for the fight to be shown, Calzaghe had the same problem of getting his fights shown.
It's a shame, but no British boxers ever really draw enough interest, the last few years the interest has been focused on Khan since the olympics, slightly on Hatton and bits on the likes of Harrison, Skelton and Williams.
Most of them are the small UK fights that are free on ITV etc, there havn't been many out in the states recently worth paying for on box office here IMO.
Our best fighters find themselves in the wrong divisions, Super Middleweight is hardly a good division to be in, very few "big" names around, that's the problem Calzaghe had, that and people avoiding him cause he's not a big money name - same goes for almost all UK fighters though.

Re: Froch V Taylor Boxing
Great fight, and brilliant climax.
Spoiler: I was a little surprised to see the Americans questioning the refereeing decision to stop the fight. No one else did and it looked like Taylor was relieved when the ref stepped in. Froch had him at his mercy.
Not sure if a Calzaghe fight will happen, I reckon he'll stay in retirement rather than risk his unblemished record.

There was a bit of talk about Froch/Taylor and Calzaghe on the Pac vs Hatton thread over in sport, but yeah it does need moving.
RE Spoiler:
Taylor didn't have anything to say about the ref's decision, he said he's the ref and he stopped it, which is fair enough, you always get people complain when a fight is stopped unless the guy is practically out on his feet, at the end of the day - you can't risk someones health when they're getting hit so much.
It was the right decision, but Taylor has the experience to have not been in that position.

Re: Froch V Taylor Boxing
Yep, just watched this one for a second time(delayed coverage last night and repeated again on ITV4 tonight).
Always had alot of respect for Froch and it was pure heart and determination to win that powered him through that 12th round, could almost sense it from the 11th, great win and deserves the upmost respect(something he never seems to get much of).
Look forward to his next, Kessler would be a great watch!
With Hatton next month and then onto Haye after that, what a great few months for British boxing.
