Manchester United vs Liverpool

Cant get into the social groups so hope i ok posting this in here its only going to be for a few days as the game is tomorrow.

Hoping after the dismantling of real madrid in the week that we go to old trafford with some swagger and go for broke and play the football i know we can play.
Manure looked a little off the boil against inter and there performances this year have been suspect IMO but like they do every year they turn draws into wins something we lack.

thoughts on tomorrows game a win for liverpool will not alter the league much but may just send out a little message that the old enemy is not going to have all its own way

Re: Manchester United vs Liverpool

Man Utd will win 2-0.

The fact it's a must win for Liverpool if they want to get back in the race (Not going to happen but they have to believe it or it's pointless playing) will mean that Liverpool have to try attack Man Utd and get caught on the break.

If Liverpool score first it could be interesting and i will be watching it however i really can't see the game being that interesting.

As per most big games for a neutral it will be a let down.

Re: Manchester United vs Liverpool

I was at the game on Tuesday night and we destroyed Real (who were shocking to be honest).

I just hope we can do 'them' away as well the great result we had at home this year. United having 18 league titles under their belt as well as us is not a pretty thought.

It will be Rafa's 100th win if we pull it off although i still can't get the 2-0 defeat to 'boro out of my head

Re: Manchester United vs Liverpool

Its going to be completely different than the Real Madrid game.

Really hope we get a quick start ala Real Madrid game and play at a high tempo, its only then we are any good.

Can we play the same team, barring any injuries. i think in midfield we can boss it, but may find it much harder against Manu's defence than the awful one against Real and they will be dangerous up front. So we need to have our best performance off the season so far considering wer'e away. 1-2 to the Pool please

2-0 Man Utd.

I hate liverpool and utd about equally so I guess that makes me a neutral

Despite Babel having a good game for once, I can see Riera coming back in for this one. Rafa is bound to make at least one other change just to ....... us all off. Alonso, Gerrard & Aurelio all have knocks so I'm predicting this X1:

Reina
Arbeloa Carra Skrtel Insua
Mascherano Lucas ()
Kuyt Gerrard Riera
Torres

God I hope Alonso is fit!!

Re: Manchester United vs Liverpool

Yes Liverpool were impressive Tues night, only cause Real Madrid were complete rubbish.

Judging by both games, Inter were the better foreign team than Real so United game wasn't as impressive as Liverpools.

Regardless a win is a win.

Now to the game tomorrow, would love Utd to win but will be happy with a draw. Even if we lose, Utd will still claim the title.....keeping fingers crossed!

Re: Manchester United vs Liverpool

3-1 united

Mardrid were shocking but that was the best I've seen the bin dippers play in a long time and Torres was immense.

Hopefully Berbatov is injured because Rooney and Carlos will be too much for hypia and skrtel.

Can't wait cos I'll be there!!!

Unless someone cripples themselves in training it'll be the usual back four. Bit of wishful thinking there expecting Hyypia

Well you have too. The last few games I've seen hypia has played with carragher at right back? Hopefully Rafa will have one of his brain freezes and plays skrtel right back again. If Stuart downing could do that imagine what ronaldo would do

Carra has requested not to play right back, that is why Mascherano and Skrtel have played there in the last 2 games before Arbeloa returned. If Hyypia does play I expect he will player very well like he always does.

Rafa should play him where Rafa needs to play him . He can't quit Liverpool like he quit England . Rooney hates the left wing , Fergie says play on the left , and he does

The thread can stay whilst its relevant , but a little reminder of one of the reasons the threads were shut
