Re: F1 2009 Season Thread

I think its good news that Honda have been rescued , although I guess its not really yet clear as to how intactthe team will stay. The are also incredibly lucky to have had RB involved in the team as I am not sure that there is anyone else with the same clout as he , available to put together a rescue. If you wanted anyone to head your team up , it would be him

Re: F1 2009 Season Thread

I really like the livery

It looks a bit different from the rest and reminds me of the olden days

Still, I expect it will look different once all the sponsors logos are all over it.

Not difficult after efforts like their swamp car in 07!

I guess the final livery will depend on the sponsors involved although I'm not sure they'll not be to worried about the logo's aesthetic qualities just how much cash they have to spend!

So far for me the top 3 best looking cars so far.

1. Red Bull
2. McMerc
3. BMW

...and the ugliest, easy...the Renault.

One good thing about ING pulling out of F1 hopefully Renault might have a nicer looking livery (although that nose cone would still be hideous!).

Re: F1 2009 Season Thread

hdsport I take it you haven't seen Red bull's barge board then? The car now looks awful. I think the williams is my favourite looking. I heard the Brawn-Mercedes will be blue, white and red come Melbourne.

Re: F1 2009 Season Thread

interesting read here on the BBC coverage - The lack of adverts is a gift from above anyway - but it seems the Red button may well come in for some use....

It's a shame but Bernie is Bernie, although it seems fairly certain it will be in 2010. If Luca Di Montezemolo wants it (along with the rest of FOTA's ideas) I guess Bernie may finally lets us have F1 in HD!

Re: F1 2009 Season Thread

Images of the new Toro Rosso STR4 are now in the gallery.

Or is it the new Red Bull RB5? Hard to tell

Re: F1 2009 Season Thread

Do Ferrari have a private test before the first race? Because it seems that Mclaren does, so if they are playing around with weird floors, smaller rear wings and possibly have a hu hu HUGE top speed, that would explain why Kov slowed on all the straights to hide something. Maybe we havn't seen the full car yet.
And it was looking good for Kimi.

And Toro Rosso have had a moan saying that it is a Toro Rosso And not a Red Bull. It's on the F1 website. They say because they are using the Ferrari engine and RB is Renault, they had to design there own car. With a little help from RB of course.
