Who's next for the sack?

Well, two sackings this week so far and it's still only Monday! Who do you think will be next in the sack race and why?

Just for fun i've left in the other clubs in who've already changed a manager this season, cos there's no saying it won't be one of them!

Re: Who's next for the sack?

It won't be Southgate. He is more secure than Sir Alex.

Re: Who's next for the sack?

i've actually got a funny feeling it might be Joe Kinnear even though he hasn't been there long.. if Alan Shearer ever tells the board he fancies a go, they'll boot out who ever is there at the time so job security is zero, and they played a lot better last weekend when Kinnear was off in the hospital, so maybe the assistant is actually a better manager...

I don't think he'll get sacked but I reckon Rafa will walk in the summer.

He hates the owners something chronic!

Out of that list it would have to be either Kinnear or Megson.

Just can't see that happening for a long time.

He just does not seem to want it (can't blame him).

Hard to pick one from that list. If there was anyone it was going to be Tony Adams.

I'll say Gareth Southgate though.

More chance of Liverpool winning the league than David Moyes getting the boot

Re: Who's next for the sack?

Moyes, O'Neill and Ferguson are the only really safe ones there.

Wouldn't surprise me if Benitez walked out, or had a row with the owners and got the chop. He's already trying to engineer Rick Parry's dismissal. He seems to be losing it a bit recently too. It's so tediously obvious that Robbie Keane is going to torpedo Liverpool on the last day of the season.

Re: Who's next for the sack?

My thoughts:

I think the next departure won't be a sacking. I think Joe Kinnear will leave my mutual consent on health grounds.

And I then think that Mark Hughes might be gone in the summer as the billionaires try to get a big name in (SGE?). Same for Rafa - think he will move on in the summer, probably back to Spain, unfortunately.

Bar that most of the people on the list are doing fairly decent jobs imho. Only person who I think is vastly overrated and might get the chop if his team go down, is big Sam. An idiot of a man who I couldn't like if he was covered in chocolate.

Re: Who's next for the sack?

cant see southgate getting the chop gibson has always been very loyal and very asute in his running of the club
I think arsene may be off at the end of the season i think hes has taken the club as far as he can now and if it was not for him arsenal would be another everton best foreign manager we have ever had in this league and one of the ebst managers we have ever had regardless of where he came from

Re: Who's next for the sack?

Kinnear probably, however looking at that list, the only ones really underacheiving apart from Kinnear are Southgate, Redknapp (honeymoon is over) & Hughes.

Hughes surely won't be there next season

I can definately see sparky getting the boot at the end of the season, Man City might have the best scoring record at home...but away from home, they are woeful.

Re: Who's next for the sack?

Southgate I am sure will go, I know Boro are not a big spending team etc but TBH they are really under performing and look set for the drop. I can see Benitez walking at the end of the season (not sacked) and Megson getting chased out of Bolton by the 30,000 fans who hate him!

Does anyone know where I can find out how many managers different teams have had over the years. Someone told me that since Alex Ferguson was appointed to ManU; Newcastle, Spurs, Man City and Chelsea have had combined over 60 managers and I would love to check it out.

Re: Who's next for the sack?

i think mark hughes will definitely go at the end of the season unless they can go on an immense run of form.

other than that, i think tony mowbray of west brom will be the next one. the board will panic as soon as they get adrift from the rest of the pack, and only think about staying in the prem.

i can also see kinnear going at the end of the season with rafa benitez (unfortunately)

good call, he's out for the rest of the season now, and hadn't signed his extension before he became ill, so i imagine that is off the table now, and his contract ends at the end of the current season.

Not so sure about JK.
He's got some very attractive qualities.

1, He works cheap
2, He's a mate of wise

May be a different matter though, if Ashley Genuinely decides not to sell, and tries to re-build the team and management structure.

In my view though, he just wants to spend as little he has to in order to scrape above the drop zone.
He'll bite the hand off anyone who comes in with a semi respectable offer.

Please may that happen soon.
I'd happily swap Ashley for Gillette, Glasier and, heaven forbid, but even Shepherd and Hall are beginning to look like quality in comparison

Kinnear is now set to go under surgery. In such circumstances he may well be allowed to come back in his own time, or will be allowed to retire due to health reasons. So not sacked

Mowbray and Southgate are both clinging on to their jobs and if either lose this weekend they'll be shown the door.

As for Wenger he'll never be sacked by Arsenal
