I think they had to & now seems as good as time as any....glad Liverpool already took 6 points off them before the new manager comes in.

Honestly, i didn't see that one coming.
It makes you wonder what would have happened if they had snagged Robinho - perhaps they'd have more of a cutting edge.

your 4th in the league, still in the champions league and fa cup! pathetic if any chelsea fan is glad his gone.
jesus you lot need to learnn how to give faith in a manager, not call for his head after half a blooming season! give the guy a chance and i bet he would of turned chelsea into a great side.
shocking news really and no,morinho would never manage chelsea ever again by the way your board treated him.

I think my point is that Chelsea don't really have any other candidate other then Sven......Hiddink's name will be bandied about but I fail to see how that would be any different to Scolari !

Bit of a shock, although kind of expected.
I think they have to think seriously about the next appointment. A lot of links to Eriksson, Rikjaard & Zola.
If it was my decision I would appoint Martin O'Neill as he was done a great job wherever he has been.

However he would never be given the Chelsea job(or take it). His style of management would be totally out of place at Chelsea.
Sven will step in till the end of the season, Mark Hughes takes over in the summer.....thats my knee jerk prediction

who would be a football manager?
Now you are sacked whilst you are still in with a decent chance of winning things.
I guess this means there are 16 managers of clubs below chelsea who's managers are well overdue being given their marching orders. |

Different beast in the top 4. Wenger is football royalty, he (along with certain board members) put that club on the map. Ferguson is a living legend and Rafa gave the Pool a champs league trophy........Scolari has taken Chelsea backwards (but not given time to turn it around) ! Not surprised he has gone but am surprised at the timing.
