Thanks: Gave 99, Got 47 | Spain v England 9pm Wednesday
Does anyone know why this is on so late?
As it's in Spain that will be 10pm Spanish time. I know they have some 10pm local time kick-offs in La Liga on a Saturday night but i didnt think there Internationals were usually so late?
Something tells me ITV have manged to get it on so late to accomodate Coronation Street or something.
Hopefully it isn't down to them...

May well be to do with there's a chance Rooney may well be playing so it's to do with swearing before 9pm watershed.

i doubt ITV will have a say in the time of the kick-off for an away game?
if anything a Spanish broadcaster would have a bigger say anyway?

Maybe it's on late so that the idiots who caused so many to miss the goal in the FA cup match will have gone off shift by then?

This will be coverage supplied by a spanish OB unit so should be fine (but typically european).IIRC 9pm is a typical time for a late spanish kickoff.

They've probably arranged to move the kickoff back so they can show 16 episodes of Coronation Street before the game. ITV should stick to crap soaps and leave sport to the professionals.

10pm sounds like a normal enough time to play a match in Spain - it happens the odd time.
They don't go to bed at 11pm like most of the UK

Absolute nightmare those kick off times, the best of it is they don't even run the public transport any later to compensate I nearly spent the night in an underground station when I went to see Barcelona play

last 3 or 4 spanish international games kicked off at that time. even last el-classico but no clue why though. i assume it might be prime-time there. they normally do not go out for a dinner before 10 pm either.
