Mosley destroys Margarito

Jesus, what a performance from Shane Mosley
He totally destroyed Margarito who had absolutely no answer to him.
Far superior hand speed, far superior work rate, far superior punch content.
What a clinical finish too.
Before the fight, i thought Shane would put in a good performance - but not that good!
Margarito was many peoples No.1 fighter - but he was systematically taken apart.
Awesome display from Mosley

Re: Mosley destroys Margarito

Cracking fight - excellent performance from Mosley, seems like splitting up from his Mrs did him the world of good

After the Cotto fight I think most people, incluing myself, thought Margarito was some sort of unstoppable machine but Shane destroyed him

Re: Mosley destroys Margarito

Well i don't mind admitting i didn't predict that kind of performance. I thought he might have an outside chance but Margarito was systematically taken apart.

I'd assumed Maragrito would start slow but walk him down and get in a few big shots, then in the final 5 Mosley's age would start to show, but i never would have thought Margarito would be taken out.

There are some decent match ups coming up but if that doesn't rank as the fight of the year i'm a Dutchman. Every time i think boxing is getting boring, a perfromance like that comes along to remind me why i love it.

Re: Mosley destroys Margarito

I used to be a fan of Mosley but as with Boxing itself, I lost a little interest.

Saw the advert for the fight and Sky+ it.

Loved the fight, fabulous performance from Shane, impressive speed at any age.

Watched it again last night before Affliction came on, recorded on to disc to watch at a later date!

Excellent

Re: Mosley destroys Margarito

Former WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito has had his boxing license suspended by the California State Athletic Commission.

A plaster-like substance was reportedly found under the Mexican fighter's gloves before he stepped into the ring with Shane Mosley on Saturday.

The evidence has been sent to the California Department of Justice for analysis and an investigation launched.

In the meantime, both Margarito and his trainer Javier Capetillo have had their licenses suspended by the California State Athletic Commission.
