Re: Milwall fans...scum!

Fines are totally useless against teams now, so for a start I'd exclude them from next year's FA Cup.

And if it happens in league games then dock them points, and keep docking them points until it stops. I guarantee it will because the right thinking fans will sort them out or shop them to the club/cops.

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

Bit of a sweeping statement isnt it? I'm a millwall supporter but I dont rip seat's out or cause trouble, does that make me scum? All my family are Millwall fans but they dont cause any trouble are they scum to?
You know damn well that every team as a bunch of morons attached to it and we even get away supporters at the den who have rip seats out caused trouble but that nothing was mentioned in the press.

Well punishing the club doesn't do anything against the fans responsible, and punishes the innocents

Far more prudent for the police to reveal if any post-match arrests have been made. Or failing that, the fans responsible should be served with football banning orders

Saying that, if football banning orders are not issued for making offensive and/or racist chants (I am recalling a separate unrelated past matter here), then I do not hold my breath

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

What sort of Millwall ***** goes to a family-friendly football match throwing seats at women and children?

"Millwall football club should be ashamed at the conduct of hundreds of their visiting fans. Not only did they rush the East stand, they also rushed the passive West stand which required the redeployment of riot police to protect the "family stand". There was no doubt some of the Millwall 'fans' came to Hull to cause trouble. Questions are bound to be asked as to why, when the police expected trouble, were the scenes witnessed in the KC stadium allowed to happen. Many football fans were left shocked as to the scenes they witnessed.

Yes, in the past, Hull City, like all clubs saw their fair share of trouble, however this has thankfully disappeared and Hull fans are now regarded, across the country, as good fans of a brilliant club. Testament to this was the fact that the Hull fans did not cause the Police more problems by reacting to the Millwall fans.

Trouble started before the game with stewards struggling to hold back the Millwall hooligans from encroaching on the Hull fans. Riot police appeared from both ends of the North stand and tried to control the Millwall crowd, however in a scenes reminiscence from the 1980's, there were hundreds of Millwall fans who were only there to cause trouble for the police. Towards the end of the game at least 20 seats were torn up by the Millwall fans and thrown in the direction of the Hull fans along with countless numbers of bottles and other objects.

Hull fans did their best to not react to the continuous provocation from the Millwall fans and credit should be given to them.

Millwall football club, the Football Association and Humberside Police need to look at the events today and take tough, stern action on those fans who wish to bring our beautiful game into disrepute.

"We are Millwall" chanted the away support, as if the actions of their fans were something to be proud of.

Millwall Football club has had a bad reputation for football hooliganism and a large number of their fans lived up to that reputation."

Millwall scum.

Millwall scum.
Yeah I agree Milwall have a reputation for violence, but a lot of other clubs do. It's still the minority ruining it for others.

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

I remember when Liverpool beat Millwall in the Carling cup a few years ago and their fans were singing about Hillsbrough etc. I am sure every club has football hooligans but the London clubs seem to have the most.
Saying that I used to go to football games home and away from 1993 until 2000 and the only time I saw violence was when I went to Maine Road we drew 2-2 to send City down and their fans were throwing bricks at coaches etc.

I agree a fine is nothing I think they should have points deducted to hit their promotion hopes. I know it is a small minority but if they are deducted points they will think twice about doing it hopefully and if not the fans around them can contact the club saying what seat he was sitting in etc and maybe the club can trace who the tickets were sold to and ban them from future games.
Although this would stop violence in the grounds a lot of these holigans arrange fights and meet up on the streets .

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

Funny you should mention that Crazy because if you remember the Liverpool fans ripped out seats and some how Millwall got fined for not stopping the away team from doing it,funny how people forget about other clubs, also there was trouble at a few other games yesterday but no mention of that.

I agree that ripping out the seats is stpid but from the youtube of the match the Hull fans were just as bad.

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

The FA should ban all Millwall fans going to away games for the rest of the season or they can only attend the game if they travel on an offical organised coach, sit in the seat(number) thats on there ticket.

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

Still not enough unfortunately, where Millwall fans are concerned.

With the long history of this type of behaviour, and the fact that 'normal' Millwall fans appear to try and excuse Millwall hooliganism rather than condemn it, it seems to me that the only effective course of action is to make Millwall play behind closed doors, from now until the day the club goes under.

Football won't miss Millwall, it's now time for the authorities to step forward.

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

humberside police said about 500 known troublemakers were among the millwall fans, police would have known the fixture had potential for trouble, so why was segregation inside the ground so inadequate.

Don't pin all the blame on millwall, a section of hull fans have a reputation.
Watch the video, both sets of fans are goading each other.

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

The trouble from the Millwall fans started early on Friday Night...

Assaulting bar staff in city centre pubs, and smashing up local shops, has nothing to do with being goaded by Hull City fans.

It was Millwall fans throwing seats at women and children.
It was a Millwall fan who flicked a lit cigarette in the face of a 6 year old girl, as she walked towards the ground with her parents.

If 500 Millwall fans travelled 300 miles to have a fight with the Police,
If 1 in 6 Millwall fans is a football hooligan, should Millwall FC still be playing football?

I'm not a Hull City fan, and I've got nothing against Millwall or their fans, but if they can't sort themselves out then it's up to the authorities to do it for us. - 'us' as in the rest of civilised society.

The true Millwall fans need to stop making the same old excuses, and start making phone calls.

Re: Milwall fans...scum!

I remember Millwall coming to Elland Road last year. Kicking the windows out of the buses on their way in, absolute disgrace.

Having said that Leeds fans are no angels and i've witnessed first hand people throwing bricks at the Millwall supporters whilst the Police just watched and did nothing.

OK...this one has had it's day.

It's clear that not all fans of any club are violent, and this is no different.
