Sad news - snooker was never quite the same without him.

I never knew he was born in Newton Abbott man or that he lived in Barnstaple. Strange how you only find out these little things after someone passes.

My early memories of Snooker were whispering Ted Lowe doing commentary, and David Vine in the studio.

Also, his enthusiasm doing Ski Sunday always made it worth watching.

Sad loss - I cannot think of that cracking Ski Sunday theme tune or the World Championship snooker finals without picturing him as well - the man was a true gent by all accounts.

A very sad loss indeed, only just found out watching the Snooker.

He was a great presenter and as mentioned, he had one of those instantly recognisable voices that was a pleasure to listen to.
