Football ticket policy

I just wondered if anyone here agreed with (what looks like the majority) the process of (or rather not) getting hold of tickets for Premier League football teams?

I am in the unfortunate position that I have always worked saturdays before (until three months ago) and now I want to go and watch more LFC games, however as I didn't attend X amount of games last season I am not permitted (well unless I want to sit on the toilet seat and I bet that is sold out too) to get a ticket for ANY game as I don't have a booking history for the previous season.

This really aggrivates me and I had to vent my anger here, who else feels the same? Or do some see any sense in this?

Re: Football ticket policy

I wanted to go and see Man utd vs Portsmouth at Pompey but I can't apply beacause I would have had to go every cup game last season but I couldn't have gone to all cup games last season as I didn't have my season ticket then. Quite annoying but at least I get to go to all home games this season.

Re: Football ticket policy

Why shouldn’t loyal fans be rewarded, rather than some JLC being treated the same. It’s a joke. Last season I applied for 22 away games and only got 2 tickets…

You could join a local club or buy direct from the club. If Liverpool are like any other club they will offer up x amount of tickets to non members. Thats how I get united tickets and also the odd city ticket when I can go.

Away games are far better

Good advice; join a supporters club and take advantage of their preferential purchasing position.

I'm only a red level member at Arsenal but through being a member of my local supporters club I can get access to tickets for all but the most popular/high profile games, and even then I've been fortunate enough to go to games versus the likes of AC Milan, Real Madrid, etc along with FA cup semis, carling cup finals etc.

There is a West Midlands and Shropshire Liverpool supporters club (my sister is thinking of joining) so I'd suggest that could be a good place to start.

failing that, I could always get you a ticket for a decent ground .
