I'd be amazed if Barry didn't start.

Re: T&T v England
Has Walcott gone? Would have loved to have seen him with Rooney the other night after Defoe fluffed his opportunity...

So would i, but as this is a complete waste of time ( FA only playing there so they can count on there vote once it comes to us wanting WC) i'd play some ofl the youngsters.
Hart
Johnson/woodgate/Wheater/Bridge
Beckham/Huddlestone/Barry/Young
Ashton/Defoe

Walcott, Young and Agbonlahor will all take some part more than likely.

Re: T&T v England
Spoke to Jo last week before he headed off to england duty and he is really enjoying his football at city at the moment so can't see him moving elsewhere before next season (although he did say he doesn't plan to be in england much until he has to be back for pre season... alright for some eh )
little bit shakey tonight on the couple of occasions he was involved, just nerves though im sure... nice cool £500,000 to shrewsbury for him playing tonight also, which is a massive amount for a league 2 side!
on a sidenote.... who would everyone go for in the middle of the park? have to remember hargreaves has done very well for england last 2 years also..would you leave him out in favour of barry & gerrard? or Gerrard & Lamps? or Barry & Lamps with gerrard on the left??

For me, Barry/Gerrard playing like they did last night. The way Lamps and Gerrard should of been playing together and really could if they wanted to.
One goes forward, one stays back its not rocket science.
Downing surprised me did quite well, but being a Villa fan i know Young is better than Downing. Young seemed a little nervous at first when he came on but he improved on it.
Bentley had his usual game in my opinion, not great at times, but good at times.

Re: T&T v England
I think the Barry/ Gerrard partnership works too well for it not to be the first choice. It is clear that they are good friends off the pitch as they communicate well. Bentley shows moments of brilliance and then makes silly mistakes. IMHO he isn't ready for England yet. I think Beckham should not be discounted . His crossing is sublime and even though he hasn't got the legs, his experience is a valuable asset.
I reckon our team in August against Czech Republic should be....
Goalkeeper - James (Subs being Joe Hart and Ben Foster )
Right Back - Brown (Micah Richards will probably take this spot but as he has been out most of when Capello has been in charge, I can't see him playing)
Left Back - Cole (TBH I think Bridge is also quality and it depends on who's in best shape)
Centrebacks - Ferdinand and Terry
Right wing -Beckham (Bentley and SWP can also fill the spot)
Left wing - Young just for his abilty! Phenomenal! (Joe Cole is equally suitable though)
Midfield - Gerrard + Barry (Hargreaves and Lamps ready to fill gaps. Lampard and Gerrard do not work together though! Gerrard needs a more defensive player so he can be released)
Strikers - Rooney playing just off Owen (ok Owen hasn't been about for these friendlies but he has been doing well for the toon. I just think him and Rooney could work so well. Rooney a provider and Owen the clinical finisher. Also Crouch in there for the headers. Gabby and Theo there for pace)

Erm, yes.
Not a meaningless game ..... it means we'll have T&T's vote when it comes to the 2018 World Cup hosting vote
