Re: Why do you support ?

Started supporting Chelsea when we played Spurs in the FA Cup final ... all my little mates were Spurs, so to be different, I chose Chelsea ... and the rest is history!... Spurs won that game BTW ... but I think I made the right choice in the long run!

No you can't! My uncle was in the leeds kop every game for 15 years before he died, 15 years? 1 match was enough for me.

All the other stands are fine at elland road i've been in them all but haven't been there for ages since my other uncle stopped working there as i don't get free tickets now.

Talking about the kop today ,while discussing the next yrs season ticket its full of dingles and scruffy ***** ,even lads who spend 300 quid on a jumper still look like tramps in there lol, much prefer to sit in the corners or lowfields these days .

Re: Why do you support ?

My brother was a Spurs fan and I just followed him. First real memory was Pat Jennings winning the PFA Player of the Year.

Will never forget us being relegated, nor will I ever forget memories like Ricky Villa's goal.

Also have a huge soft spot for Celtic.

Re: Why do you support ?

Third generation Arsenal fan. My Great Grandfather moved from Ireland to Avenall road (just over the road from Highbury), my Grandfather was a regular in the 30's 'Golden age' and for a while when he returned home after the war, and my uncle was a Highbury regular when returned from National Service.

As my old man prefers RU to football (then left us for good in the early 70's) and mums a lost cause as a Bolton fan, my uncles were vying for my allegiance. My uncle on the Chelsea side lost out after the 71' cup final. Saw my first league game in 73' and never looked back.

Re: Why do you support ?

Always supported Manu from my earliest recollections

i heard about George Best when i was very young 5-6 years and wanted to support his team.I also heard about the busby babes and the whole history of the club
Aged 9 i did a school project on Manu which is still somewhere in my mums house.

My family Brothers and sisters were Arsenal and Spurs

My eldest sister took me to see spurs when i was 10-11 ish but i supported Man U and cheered for them in the Paxton End when they scored. I got filthy looks from the fans but i didnt care and being so young they said nothing.

Like a lifelong drug it has stuck Once a red always a red
NO matter where your from.

NOT being from manchester and not generally conforming to stereotypes or expectations I DONT hate Liverpool like many ManU fans do or City for that matter.

I dont really mind the Arse and feel sorry for Spurs Who have had more False Dawns than there have been England managers

Funnily I do detest chelsea .. I never really liked them for reasons I could not explain possibly Bates but the whole
Abramovich Sugar Daddy BUY success thing from private money disgusts me £600 million?. Without him Chelsea would just be the small club they really are.

Its might sound hypocritical coming from a MANU fan but our money comes from the success of the club in the world and the revenue it creates not some 'PIMP' chairman.

The Glazers have only added Debt to the club but we have remained successful.

Take Brown, Scholes and Giggs out of the team last night....your team cost quite a bit too. Didn't it.

Re: Why do you support ?

I've supported Middlesbrough for as long as I can remember. I was born in the town and lived close by all my life. Come from many generations of Middlesbrough fans, which include my great-uncle who played as an inside-forward for the club between '55 and '61 alongside the late great Brian Clough.

I could never really get to grips with why people supported clubs from towns/cities they had no connection with whatsoever, a lot of people I knew growing up in the 90s were Man Utd fans, I think it's obvious why.
