Re: Need golfers help

Golf clubs are very much a personal choice. Biggest (most expensive) mistake I made was buying a set of irons with graphite shafts without fully understanding what it was that I was buying.

If you are a member of a club, speak with the club pro and he should be able to advise you on what best suits you (taking into account your swing, age etc). If not a member, most golf shop have facilities to allow you to try out clubs, and even record your swing and then match up clubs accordingly.

Have you played a few rounds with the clubs you are after, or has someone who has already bought a set "bigged" them up to you?

Golf clubs aren't cheap, so mistakes are normally expensive!!!

Are any of us golfers??? You bet we are - CLICKY

Be good to see you there mate.

As far as the G5s go, I echo Dony's comments - the worse thing that I ever bought was a set of irons with a graphite shaft, steel is definitely the way to go. Go and get custom fit at either a store with a facility or with your local pro.

However if you really want Ping irons - and do not want to pay new prices - then use these guys - CLICKY
.

Best of luck and it would be great to see you on the golf day mate
