Tbh Marc, it was a national tragedy, never mind a Manchester one, hence we should all respect the occasion.
I for one have never found the 'hilarious' songs about the babes funny, but then I have never found the ugly anti-semitic songs sung about Spurs funny either. Must be me..........
As you say, some idiots, unmindful (full stop?) of the fact that the babes formed the backbone of the England team between 1956-58, will doubtless whistle throughout. An England team, I hasten to add, that was so strong it looked a genuine contender, eight years before they did manage it, to win the WC.
Hopefully the suspected minority of city fans will prove us all wrong and treat the occasion as it should be.
