The New England Patriots have become the first team in NFL history to finish the regular season 16-0 after they defeated the New York Giants 38-35 on Saturday.

They have also become the first side to go through the entire regular season undefeated in 35 years - a feat described by record-breaking quarterback Tom Brady as a "very special" achievement.

Yeah amazing acheivement, im a Patriots fan dont get to watch many games but they are always strong every season. Bring on the superbowl.

Absolutely amazing. Been watching the scores since they were 8-0 and have just got more and more amazed.

Normally it is a great defence that beats teams like these.

This year though I suspect it will have to be a team with a a great offence in an old fashioned shoot out.

The Indy v Patriots AFC championship game should be a cracker.
