Nope, which makes it rather shocking if anything. I know the man used to get a little carried away watching them, with his hand literally in his mouth during every game, but I thought he would have lasted a little longer.

Shows how much I've be paying attention. I was also under the impression he was the owner with a majority share. Turns out he's just a chairman with 5%. Was it all worth it West Ham fans? Suppose nothing actually changes other than the really rich bloke now moves forward from the shadows.

I think it was always the plan to be honest, Gudmunsson is the man with the money but maybe needed to be behind the scenes - Eggy was a good public figure for us and a shame that he's gone...
