Welsh rugby legend Ray Gravell dies

It was announced today that 56 year old Ray Gravell has died of a suspected heart attack whilst on holidays with his family. Ray played for Llanelli, Wales and the British and Irish Lions and was one of the most gifted centres of his day. He was later to become a rugby pundit and broadcaster.

A sad day for rugby in Wales and throughout the rugby playing world.

Ymhob gwlad y merig glew. Diolch yn fawr Grav.

Re: Welsh rugby legend Ray Gravell dies

I will be in Stradey tomorrow, singing my little heart out and probably shedding a tear too.

He was one of the most genuinely nice honest people you could wish to meet. He had time for everyone, big or small. A person who made everyone he met feel really good. A huge loss to rugby and society.
