The power of being a Premiership footballer

These are mad times indeed.

A certain premiership footballer, after he recently moved house, lobbied the local council to have a street sign outside of his £5m house changed; and incredibly they agreed to do it - and at the taxpayers expense.

Hang your head in shame...Frank Lampard

frank lampard is known to his critics as fat frank due to his somewhat exagerated size .

Grrrrr!!! You still persisting with that ol' joke Woody? I'm surprised... You are well known to be articulate, inventive, innovative and artistic ... there really is no need ... . . My mistake, it's Abbeygoo that I'm thinking of!

Lads... very few of us are in on this supposed joke!
I think you have to attend the AV Forums Golf Days, where you are only allowed in the Club House by Captain Woody, if you know the secret sign and make reference to Frankie Lampard being spotted at the buffet counter at the nearest Little Chef!
Frankly boys, it started to wear a little thin many months ago and the fact that it continues to be a source of amusement to very few, despite it being a massive untruth, is sad and annoying in the extreme.

Re: The power of being a Premiership footballer

I too found the whole "Djemba Djemba" post completely devoid of humour, this being mainly due to our lack of present concern about said player.

Now if you had just replaced the Djemba Djemba reference with a player who Utd fans do care about...say....Remi Moses, then the post would have had a more resonant comic tone. Here endeth the lesson
