I thought the whole world knew that!

Even if he could get out of it to stay in Europe & the England side, he'd look pretty bad after all the hype surrounding the massive pay deal. I don't think his wife would be too appreciative either as it would blow her chances of ever being taken seriously over there.

He actually has an expensive getout clause, but i wouldn't be suprised if he stayed.

Re: Real Madrid WANT to keep Beckham

LA Galaxy have also sold out the stadium with people excited to see him play, so they will have a lot of unhappy customers.

Plus, can Tom & Katie live without them??

What I could see happening is the deal being delayed. He was offered a 5 year deal, so perhaps he'll play 1 more year with Madrid and then do 4 in LA.

That way he'll get close to his 100 caps that he covets, he will get more big European nights which he said he'd miss and he will still get a HUGE payday the following 4 years (like he needs it).

Hmmmmmmm. However, the Americans have sold a lot of merch already on the back of Becks arriving for next season. The Yanks may not be the sharpest tools in the Worlds box, but they aren't that stupid. If he delays arriving the fans will smell a rat, and unlike us they aren't as squeamish about the words 'sue' and 'litigation'. Grounds or no grounds. If he's signed a contract and doesn't show, well..................
