England v Brazil (for viewers in Scotland)

Hi,

Just a quick reminder that for viewers in Scotland with a SKY box you can view tonight's game live (like the rest of the bloody UK!) by selecting channel 972 or above (BBC regional channels)

Re: England v Brazil (for viewers in Scotland)

It will finish 11-0 Brazil as only Beckham is playing for England tonight! Saved everyone 2 hours. Thank me later

Or...

It is just before the England v Brazil match. Ronaldinho goes into the

Brazilian changing room to find all his team-mates looking a bit glum.

"What's up?" he asks.

"Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know

it's important but it's only England. They're sh*t and we can't be bothered."

Ronaldinho looks at them and says, "Well, I reckon I can beat them by
myself. You lads go down the pub."

So Ronaldinho goes out to play England by himself and the rest of the

Brazilian team go off for a few jars.

After a few pints they wonder how the game is going, so they get the

landlord to put the teletext on. A big cheer goes up as the screen reads

" Brazil 1 - England 0 (Ronaldinho 10 minutes)". He is beating England

all by himself!

Anyway, a few pints later and the game is forgotten until someone

remembers, "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on." They put
the teletext on.

"Result from the Stadium 'Brazil 1 (Ronaldinho 10 minutes) - England 1

(Lampard 89 minutes)."

They can't believe it; he has single-handedly got a draw against

England!! They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate Ronaldinho. They

find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, sitting with his head

in his hands.

He refuses to look at them. "I've let you down, I've let you down."

"Don't be daft, you got a draw against England, all by yourself. And
they only scored at the very, very end!"

"No, no, I have, I've let you down. I got sent off after 12 minutes."

Oldie but goodie

I saw Alan Smith and Frank Lampard on the team sheet, but didn't see them on the field......

This seems to be the place If Beckham is the "best right midfielder" in the world, should we all hazard a guess as to whether ginger is the master motivator or the indecisive fool?

Re: England v Brazil (for viewers in Scotland)

well in my humble SCOTTISH opinon, i thought beckham was different class last night.

mclaren is going to have to drop lampard and move gerrard up. put paul scholes in the holding midfield roll, excellent wee ginger player!

only one thing bothers me about England and thats Mr robinson, i dont think he instill any confidence in his defence whats so ever, i cant see why he is the no1 pick, in fact i would go as far to say me think he is a liability!

anyway good luck for next week ! come on scotland!

Re: England v Brazil (for viewers in Scotland)

I've never liked Robinson, I think he is slow and lumbering.

David James all the way!

But seriously worst player last night was Alan Smith, he was absolutely appaling. Spent most of the night standing still. Beckham, Gerrard, Owen, Terry, Carragher and Shorey were the players that played well, Cole was not bad either. The rest were average, Brown was terrible when he came on!

Still a draw against Brazil isn't bad, and it would have been a victory if not for Terry going off and Brown coming on.
