So the average wage in Britain is double that of France?

Hardly 'greed' is it?
Last time I checked Formula One was a commercial enterprise, not a charity.

I see the point but then again Silverstone needs the money and F1 isn't exactly for the working man when you look around the paddock They use bank notes for toilet paper y'know

As above, the German average wage is hardly half that of Britain so why is the German Grand Prix nearly £40 cheaper?
As the saying goes, "first God strikes dumb those he's going to **** over".

No they probably have there pricing set right, if the prices went higher then you may see some empty areas. I am pretty sure if the UK price went up by 50%, it would still be full.
Much the same as UK football fans at the World Cup & Eurp Finals pay upwards of £1000 for a ticket, where as the Germans, French & Italians think we are crazy because of it (and they are right!)

In many countries in Europe the cost of living is as high or nearly as high as ours. The cost of electronics in some is even worse. I was shocked at how expensive goods are in Germany, Holland, and Ireland on recent visits. I was under the illusion that things were cheaper elsewhere too - until I actually went into the stores and saw the prices.
The discount superstores on the continent are cheaper than the UK, but the average high street certainly is not.
In the US prices are cheaper, but there is a price to pay for that. You do not get a warranty on anything (unless you pay extra for it) over three months. And what, quite frankly, is the use of that? Hence goods are cheaper as there is no insurance built into the cost.
There is nowhere I've been where you get something on the cheap these days - unless it's pirated.

It is simple capitalism, they will charge what they think the customer will pay.It has nothing to do with the value of an item,or indeed the cost.
If you are selling something, you want as much as you can get for it.
